John, Grace, and Porter are set to be baptized this week. Elder Hall shares a story about being led by the Spirit.
Subject: Be Ambitious for Christ
This week was really good! Elder Johnson and I are still trying hard to find more people to teach. John from Kay’s Creek and Grace & Porter from South Weber should be baptized this weekend. Hopefully I can go to those! It’s exciting!
We also had Conference this week, here’s a quote from a talk I really liked: “We are ambitious for Christ when we: serve faithfully, accept humbly, endure nobly, pray fervently, and partake worthily.”

We had a cool experience on Friday. We were visiting the people we had made plans to visit the night before. There was one family named the Johnstuns. We couldn’t remember anything about them, where we had heard about them, and how they got in our plans. So we stopped by anyways. We knocked and no one was home! But as we were leaving this lady from across the street beckoned us and asked if we had a minute. We went with her and sat on her doorstep with her. She expressed her deep sorrow and pain from how a member of her family treats her, and how her frustration boiled over a little that day after this family member threw eggs at her house. This lady’s name, is Sister Jones. She’s from Venezuela and is actually a less-active member of the church. We reminded her of Christ’s love for everyone, even for those that crucified him, he still loved them in the very act. We invited her to come back to church and she expressed her desire to. We told her the place and time the Spanish Branch met and left her with a prayer. It’s amazing still how the Lord puts you where he needs you and how you can be guided there as you have the Spirit. This morning I was reading in 1 Nephi, and in chapter 4 verse 6 he says: “And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.”
Have a great week everyone,
Elder Liam Hall
