Karen is doing great. Elder Conrad gets to use French and Peter to speak in Vietnamese. Both with someone they just happened to run into in church, Ann. Ann is from France and her parents are Vietnamese. Elder Conrad is from Switzerland and Peter, whom the Elders recently baptized, is Vietnamese. Indeed, if you follow Him, the Lord puts you where He wants you!

Subject: Behold, God Is My Salvation

Hello everyone!

How are you? This was good, Elder Conrad and I are
doing well. We sadly weren’t able to meet with Justin or Erin this
week, though we did meet with Karen, and she also came to the musical
fireside the mission presented at the Tabernacle in Ogden. It was
really good.

A cool experience that happened this week was on Wednesday. We were
teaching Peter a lesson and afterwards when we were just talking a
lady (From Kaysville) came up and asked if we had any pictures of the
temple for her friend that was with her. Her friend’s name was Ann,
and she was from France, and not a member of the church. It was cool
because Elder Conrad was able to speak to her in French, and Peter (who
is Vietnamese) was able to speak to her in Vietnamese (her parents
were from Vietnam). It was really cool. They were able to talk and help
her feel the Spirit of the Temple. She is meeting with missionaries
down in Kaysville. It was nice to see that the Lord puts you where he
needs you.

From my studies in the Book of Mormon and Bible this week;

2 Nephi 22 (also Isaiah)
1 And in that day thou shalt say: O Lord, I will praise thee; though
thou wast angry with me thine anger is turned away, and thou
comfortedst me.

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for
the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my
salvation.

3 Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

4 And in that day shall ye say: Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is
exalted.

5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things; this is known
in all the earth.

6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great is the Holy
One of Israel in the midst of thee.

2 Nephi 9
10 O how great the goodness of our God, who prepareth a way for our
escape from the grasp of this awful monster; yea, that monster, death
and hell, which I call the death of the body, and also the death of
the spirit.

20 O how great the holiness of our God! For he knoweth all things, and
there is not anything save he knows it.

21 And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will
hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men,
yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and
children, who belong to the family of Adam.

22 And he suffereth this that the resurrection might pass upon all
men, that all might stand before him at the great and judgment day.

23 And he commandeth all men that they must repent, and be baptized in
his name, having perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they
cannot be saved in the kingdom of God.

41 O then, my beloved brethren, come unto the Lord, the Holy One.
Remember that his paths are righteous. Behold, the way for man is
narrow, but it lieth in a straight course before him, and the keeper
of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant
there; and there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he
cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name.

49 Behold, my soul abhorreth sin, and my heart delighteth in
righteousness; and I will praise the holy name of my God.

50 Come, my brethren, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters;
and he that hath no money, come buy and eat; yea, come buy wine and
milk without money and without price.

51 Wherefore, do not spend money for that which is of no worth, nor
your labor for that which cannot satisfy. Hearken diligently unto me,
and remember the words which I have spoken; and come unto the Holy One
of Israel, and feast upon that which perisheth not, neither can be
corrupted, and let your soul delight in fatness.

52 Behold, my beloved brethren, remember the words of your God; pray
unto him continually by day, and give thanks unto his holy name by
night. Let your hearts rejoice.

I love 2 Nephi chapter 9, I recommend everyone read it!

Matthew 14
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking
on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were
troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it
is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come
unto thee on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he
walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning
to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and
said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Love you all, have a great week,
