Photo: Our laundry room, it’s been like this since Elder Blaylock first got in the area.
A wonderful week. George’s baptism is coming up and another has been put on date for September. Elder Hall instructs us, “we should always be ready to testify of our Savior and to help others come to that knowledge as we know, because it will bless their lives.”
Subject: Spare Not
This week was wonderful. We were able to teach Luke,
Justyn, Grace, and Porter, and also George.
George is doing wonderful, he will be baptized on Saturday. We also
have a new investigator named Tyler, he is set for baptism in
September, he’s a great guy.
Transfer are Wednesday, and I’ll probably be in a new area, but we’ll
see, but if so, I’ll miss the people of Clearfield and South Weber.
So here is a verse I really love. I spoke in the South Weber 8th Ward
yesterday, and I got to talk on missionary work. I love how we are
always supposed to be sharing, and I love the line “Spare not” here. I
know that we should always be ready to testify of our savior and to
help others come to that knowledge as we know, because it will bless
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the
curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and
strengthen thy stakes;
Here are some other verses that I used, also really good.
Doctrine and Covenants 88
81 Behold, I sent you out to testify and warn the people, and it
becometh every man who hath been warned to warn his neighbor.
Doctrine and Covenants 100
5 Therefore, verily I say unto you, lift up your voices unto this
people; speak the thoughts that I shall put into your hearts, and you
shall not be confounded before men;
6 For it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment,
what ye shall say.
7 But a commandment I give unto you, that ye shall declare whatsoever
thing ye declare in my name, in solemnity of heart, in the spirit of
meekness, in all things.
8 And I give unto you this promise, that inasmuch as ye do this the
Holy Ghost shall be shed forth in bearing record unto all things
whatsoever ye shall say.
Hope you all have a good week,
Elder Liam Hall
