Photo: Elder Alberts and Elder Hall
The doubt your doubts quote is from President Uchtdorf as Elder Hall indicates. This week was transfers. Elder Conrad went to Ogden. Elder Hall’s new companion is Elder Alberts from Texas. Also, the other elders in the apartment were transferred. So Elder Hall is the only one in the apartment who was not transferred.
Subject: Doubt Your Doubts Before You Doubt Your Faith
This week was great! We were able to meet with Karen
and Justin and Alan. They’re all doing well!
On Wednesday we had transfers, Elder Conrad went to Ogden with Elder
Terry. I got Elder Alberts, he’s been out about five months. He’s
pretty awesome, he’s really tall and from Texas. Elder Blaylock, who I
lived with and worked with in Clearfield got transferred to Syracuse.
We now have Elder Brittain and Elder Atwood in Clearfield with us.
They’re good too.
Here’s one of my favorite quotes from one of the leaders of the church.
“It’s natural to have questions–the acorn of honest inquiry has
often sprouted and matured into a great oak of understanding. There
are few members of the Church who, at one time or another, have not
wrestled with serious or sensitive questions. One of the purposes of
the Church is to nurture and cultivate the seed of faith–even in the
sometimes sandy soil of doubt and uncertainty. Faith is to hope for
things which are not seen but which are true.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters–my dear friends–please,
first doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. We must never
allow doubt to hold us prisoner and keep us from the divine love,
peace, and gifts that come through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.” –
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Hope you all have a good week,
